Activating Lightspeed Ecom in Lightspeed Retail POS (X-Series)
Lightspeed Ecom creates an online presence for your business. You can activate it with a few clicks from your Retail POS.
Once activated, you get the Online register which is used to process your online sales. You can create a website with or without an online store, build a landing page, connect your catalog to social media to advertise or sell your products on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, ability to advertise your products on Google, and more.
Whatever you choose, you'll need to set up your Ecom to establish your online presence, including enabling products to appear online and building a site.
Enabling Lightspeed Ecom
Your Lightspeed Ecom is located on the Online tab in your Retail POS admin. Activating it will sync your products between POS and Ecom. However your catalog won’t appear online automatically. Instead, you can choose which products to showcase or sell online. This allows you to start with just a few, like your bestsellers, and then gradually expand the range of products available for online purchasing. You will also get the Online register that is used to process online sales, if any.
If you already have an Ecwid store and want to connect Lightspeed POS, refer to the How to connect an existing Ecom (E-Series) account to Retail POS (X-Series) article.
To set up a new Lightspeed Ecom in Retail POS:
- From your Retail POS backoffice, navigate to the Online tab:
- Click Activate Lightspeed eCom.
- Fill out a short questionnaire that will help to set up your online presence.
That’s it. Now, you have to make an initial Ecom setup.
