Connecting Ecwid to TikTok Shop via the TikTok Shop Connector app
You can start selling on TikTok Shop by syncing your Ecwid online catalog with the social media platform. You can do it with the help of the TikTok Shop Connector app.
When you connect your catalog with the TikTok Shop Connector app, it appears on TikTok. You will need to set up shipping and payment methods directly in your TikTok Seller profile since your online shipping and payment methods do not sync with TikTok. After that, you can showcase your products directly on TIkTok and customers can purchase them.
When customers buy your product on TikTok, new orders appear on the My Sales → Orders page in your Ecwid admin and on the Orders page in your TikTok Shop Connector account.
Requirements for selling on TikTok with the TikTok Shop Connector app
To start selling and advertising on TikTok, you need to meet a few requirements:
- Your business is located in the US.
- You have an account in the TikTok Seller Center that is connected to your TikTok account.
- You have a professional account on TikTok — you can switch to a Pro account in a few clicks. With a Pro account, you can include links to your online store or other social media accounts within your bio (profile).
Connecting your Ecwid store to TikTok
The integration between TikTok and Ecwid works through the TikTok Shop Connector app. To start selling with TikTok Shop, you first need to connect your Ecwid store to the TikTok Shop Connector app. For this, you will need to create an account on the TikTok Shop Connector platform, and then sync products and orders between Ecwid and TikTok using the TikTok Shop Connector.
To connect your Ecwid store to TikTok via the TikTok Shop Connector app:
- From your Ecwid admin, go to Apps → App Market and find the TikTok Shop Connector by Silk.
- Click Get, then Open app.
- The app will automatically create an account using your Ecwid email. You will get a notification on that email with your password.
- Click Go to authorize to get redirected to the TikTok Shop Seller Center where you’ll need to create a TikTok Shop account or connect an existing one.
- Select the region and click Next.
- Agree to terms and conditions and click Authorize. You will be redirected back to the TikTok Connector page.
- Click + Create Connection.
- In the Connection Name, enter any name you want.
- In the From dropdown, select Ecwid.
- Click Next, then Go to authorize, then Accept.
- You will be redirected to the TikTok Shop Seller Center.
- Follow the wizard to verify your business and set up your shop on TikTok.
- Once you complete the wizard, you will be redirected back to the Connector app. On the left-hand side menu, switch to the Settings tab and click Products.
- Set up your default package dimensions and choose the proper weight measurement unit, then click Save.
That’s it. Now you’re ready to sync products to the TikTok Shop.
Syncing products from Ecwid to TikTok
To make products from your Ecwid store appear in your TikTok Shop, you will need to "pull" products from Ecwid into the TikTok Shop Connector app, and then "push" them to TikTok Shop.
All the changes that you make in your Ecwid admin will reflect in your TikTok Shop, including disabling or enabling products, and adding new ones. You can disable automatically pulling new products from Ecwid on the Settings → Product page in your TikTok Shop Connector.
To sync products from Ecwid to TikTok:
- Go to your TikTok Shop Connector (you can access it from Ecwid admin → Apps → My Apps → TikTok Shop Connector by Silk → Open app), and select the Ecwid connection.
- In the menu on the left, switch to the Products tab and click Bulk Actions → Pull Products.
- Choose a date that encompasses the entire time frame from adding the first item to Ecwid to adding the last item. For a start date it’s recommended to choose a date when you registered in Ecwid, or a long enough ago date to ensure that all products are pulled into the Connector. For the end date, choose today’s date.
- From the Status in Ecwid dropdown, choose whether to pull enabled or disabled products. If you want to sync both enabled and disabled items, do not choose any option from the dropdown.
- Click OK.
- Switch to the Categories tab in the menu on the left and select the relevant categories at TikTok for your Ecwid products categories.
- If your products have attributes, click three dots in the Actions section, select Fill in Attributes and fill in required corresponding fields:
- Switch to the Products tab, and near the product that you want to sync, click three dots → Sync Product. To sync all the products, click Bulk Actions → Sync all Products.
Syncing products will take time depending on your catalog size. You can switch to the Home tab in your TikTok Shop Connector and in the Task section on the right see the status of the syncing process. A "Completed" status confirms that you submitted an action. In the Products section on the left, you will see the result of the sync. You can click the status to see details.
Troubleshooting product syncing to TikTok Shops
In some cases, products may not be “pulled” from your Ecwid store to your Tik Tok Shop Connector account, or TikTok may reject items from your Ecwid store. For example, if a product is missing specific attributes, certificates, or any other additional information. The reason behind product rejection is displayed in the Extra info or Product columns on the Products page in your TikTok Shop Connector.
TikTok Shops doesn’t support more than 3 sales attributes. If some of your products have 4 or more attributes, they will not be synced to TikTok.
To fix the issue with rejected products and re-sync products:
- From your TikTok Shop Connector, go to the Products page. You can access it from Ecwid admin → Apps → My Apps → Tik Tok Shop Connector → Open app.
- If the issue is in the Extra info column, click the red tag:
Provide required info. E.g., upload a product certificate, provide the brand name, etc. - If the issue is in the Product column, hover the mouse over the yellow triangle icon to see the reason behind rejection. Make necessary adjustments. E.g., remove extra attributes.
- Once you provide all required info, click the three dots in the Actions column on the right, and select Pre-Validation.
- After validation is complete, click three dots again and select Sync Product.
Editing synced products for TikTok Shop
After you import products from your Ecwid store to TikTok with the TikTok Shop Connector app, you can edit products individually. For example, change their price, description, image, and so on. That will only affect products in your TikTok Shop and not in Ecwid.
To edit products synced to TikTok Shop:
- From your TikTok Shop Connector, go to the Products → Manage Products page. You can access it from Ecwid admin → Apps → My Apps → Tik Tok Shop Connector by Silk → Open app.
- Click Expand at the right-hand side of the product card to change the price.
- Click Edit to access your TikTok Shop Seller Center and get access to full product page editing.
- From the product page in your TikTok Shop Seller Center, you can change the product name, description, brand, attributes, images, turn variation off and on, and so on.
- Once you make all the changes, click Update in the top right.
Getting orders from TikTok Shop
New orders from TikTok are synced to your Ecwid admin through the TikTok Shop Connector app.
For a successful order sync between your Ecwid admin and TikTok, please make sure you:
- Set up a pickup/return address in your TikTok Seller account.
- Set up shipping in your TikTok Seller account and select Seller Shipping as your shipping option.
- Create a Seller Shipping template. The carrier service in the template should match the carrier service you set up in your Ecwid store.
Once a customer makes an order from your TikTok Shop, they will automatically receive a confirmation email about their purchase. You will see a new order in My sales → Orders in your Ecwid admin and in your Ecwid mobile app for iOS or Android. It will also appear in your TikTok Shop Connector account on the Orders page. Unpaid orders will not appear in your Ecwid admin.
When the order is not fulfilled, it will have the Unfulfilled status in your Ecwid admin and the Awaiting Shipment status in your TikTok Seller Center.
When you have fulfilled and shipped the order in Ecwid, the order status is changed to Fulfilled in your Ecwid admin and the Awaiting Collection in your TikTok Seller Center.

Once you ship the package and change the status to Shipped, the transit status in TikTok will be updated to In Transit. After the order is delivered, the order status in the TikTok will be updated to Delivered/Completed.
In case of canceling an order, it will be canceled bidirectionally in Ecwid and in TikTok Shop.
