Adding store to a custom website

If you have a custom website and want to add your Ecwid store there, you should generate the code for your store and add it to the source code of your site.

Where to get your store ID?

Code for adding your store to a page:

<div id="my-store-"></div><div> <script type="text/javascript" data-cfasync="false" src="https://app.ecwid.com/script.js?" charset="utf-8"></script><script type="text/javascript"> xProductBrowser("id=my-store-");</script></div>

Default category for product browser

By default, the Ecwid widget opens the Store Front page category along with your root categories. If you wish, you can configure it to show a different category when a user opens your store for the first time. You can do it by adding the defaultCategoryId option to the widget integration code. The code will look like this:

<div> <script type='text/javascript' src='https://app.ecwid.com/script.js?STOREID'></script>
<script type='text/javascript'>
xProductBrowser("defaultCategoryId=3003");</script>
</div>
The category is defined by its ID. In our example it’s 3003. The category ID is included in the category page URL. If you can’t find it, check the guide on how to get the ID of your product or category. Remember to enter your store ID instead of STOREID.

Default product for product browser

You can also specify the default product in the product browser code. When customers open the store page with such code, they will see the product details page. The code will look like this:

<div> <script type='text/javascript' src='https://app.ecwid.com/script.js?STOREID'></script>
<script type='text/javascript'>
xProductBrowser("defaultProductId=123456");</script>
</div>

123456 in this code is the ID of the product that will open by default. Check the guide on how to get the ID of your product or category. Remember to enter your store ID instead of STOREID.
