Several payment providers support a form within your Ecwid store. This way, your customers can be assured of a secured payment without leaving your site. Enable one of the following to avoid redirection: WePay, PayPal Payflow Link and PayPal Advanced, Square, Stripe, American Express.
To edit the name of the payment method:
- Go to your Ecwid Control Panel → Payment.
- Find the payment method you want to change.
- Click Actions.
- Click Edit.
- Change the payment method name and add a description if needed.
Customers will see the updated payment method upon checkout.
This option has two values:
The payment gateway checks a customer's card balance. If it is enough to pay for the order, it return a positive response. Otherwise, it returns a failed attempt. Customer is not charged automatically, gateway just checks if the transaction is possible and if there is enough money on the card balance. To actually charge the customer, store owner logins to their account with the payment gateway and clicks a special button. Only after that the payment gateway takes the money from the customer's card.
The payment gateway checks a customer's card balance. If it is enough to pay for order, it charges the customer immediately and returns positive response.
