Changing the store language

When you create an account, Ecwid automatically detects your browser language and uses this for your store’s default language, email notifications, and invoices. To use a different language, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Ecwid control panel → Settings → General → Regional Settings.
  2. Click Language Settings under Storefront languages.
  3. Click Change Store Language:

  1. Choose a language from the drop-down list:

  1. Click Save.

This change will be applied immediately.

You must first remove all additional languages from your store before changing the main store language. After making the change, you may enable additional languages again.
If you sell worldwide, you can show your store in different languages for different buyers. To do it just add the translations for your catalog and enable additional languages.
