Adding buttons on a page
You can add buttons or clickable text to some sections of your Instant Site. For instance, on the Cover, Special Offers, Customer Reviews sections, and so on.
When a visitor clicks the button a certain action is performed. For example, you can specify a product URL that will open upon click or scroll customers to a specific section of your website.
Adding a button to a page
To set up a button:
- From your Ecwid admin, go to Website → Edit Site.
- Сlick a section, or add a new section from the library.
- On the Content tab, click Button or Add Button. The Cover section has Primary button and Secondary button instead.
- In the Title field, enter the text that appears on the button.
- Choose Action on click.
- Choose the site section, enter email, phone number, or a link. You can enter a link to a specific page of your site.
- (optional) Change the appearance, font, size, shape, and color of the button on the Design tab.
- Click Publish.
Editing button design
Buttons design is configured on the Design tab of the section where a button is located. You can change the button appearance, font, size, shape, and color.
To edit the look of a button:
- From your Ecwid admin, go to Website → Edit Site.
- Сlick the section with the button.
- Switch to the Design tab and click Button.
- Make the changes.
- Click Publish.
Removing a button from page
You can delete a button from a section if you no longer want to navigate visitors or perform an action.
To remove a button from the section:
- From your Ecwid admin, go to Website → Edit Site.
- Сlick the section with the button.
- On the Content tab, click Button.
- In the Title field, remove the title.
- Click Publish.
