Applying custom design to Instant Site with CSS
Apart from designing your site in the Instant Site editor, you can apply custom design by using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). When you apply CSS codes, they have a higher priority than the changes made through the Instant Site editor.
With the help of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) you can change the styles that are used on your website pages – adjust the color of buttons or hide them, adjust fonts, hide prices, and more.
This article provides answers for the latest version of Instant Site. If you have the old Instant Site version, read the Adding CSS codes to your store article instead. Not sure which version you're using? Find out now.
To apply a certain style to your Instant Site:
- From your Ecwid admin, go to Website → Edit Site.
- Click Settings at the top and then Fonts & Styles.
- To apply styles, click Advanced custom CSS and enter your CSS code.
In case you switched to the latest version of Instant Site from the old version of Instant Site (Legacy) and have some active CSS themes, these codes will still be applied in your store (until you deactivate them). In case you apply new codes in the Instant Site editor and there are some intersections, the codes that you apply on the Design page will have priority for your store pages.
