Paid apps in the Ecwid App Market

Apps allow you to customize your Ecwid store with additional features. In the Ecwid App Market, you'll find a variety of apps to help you run your store efficiently and tailor it to your needs. Many paid apps are developed by third-party creators and typically require a monthly subscription. Most also offer a free trial, so you can get started right away.

The billing model varies by app, and some offer multiple pricing plans to suit different needs. When starting out, it’s often best to begin with a basic plan to explore the software. As your business grows, you can upgrade to a higher plan with more features.

There are two types of billing for the paid apps: internal (inside Ecwid) and external:

  • Apps that are billed internally have prices specified in the App Market. In this case, Ecwid charges you monthly for app usage via the payment method you specify, and these charges appear on your invoices.
  • Apps that are billed externally are marked as such in the App Market. In this case, Ecwid does not charge you for using the app, but the third-party service itself might be paid. For example, you need to subscribe to an email automation platform to actually use its features. For externally billed apps, all your charges are settled between you and the service provider.
