Deprecated apps in the Ecwid App Market

The Ecwid App Market offers a wide range of apps to customize your online store with additional features. Most of the apps are created by 3rd-party companies, and some were developed by the Ecwid team.

In rare cases, an app may need to be removed from the App Market. For example, if a developer notifies Ecwid that they no longer intend to support their app and requests that it be taken down to avoid potential future errors. The app is then hidden from the App Market so that it does not get any new installations.

Here is what happens if you have such an app installed in your Ecwid account:

  1. The app name that you see on the Apps → My Apps page in your Ecwid admin gets the word [DEPRECATED] added to it.

    Example:

  2. App users are notified via email that the app is no longer supported and will be uninstalled from their accounts soon.
  3. The app is removed from your Ecwid account.

If it was an internally billed paid app, you will no longer be charged for it, and it will not appear on your invoices. You can browse the App Market for other apps to enhance your online store.
