Age verification and access restrictions in the Ecwid mobile app
The Ecwid mobile app now shows age-related validation in certain US states to comply with new age-verification laws. As a result, your Ecwid mobile app may securely sign you out and ask you to verify your age before you can continue using the app.
Resolving age restrictions in the Ecwid mobile app
To continue using the Ecwid mobile app, you may need to verify your age or update your birthday in your account in the Apple App Store or Google Play. This allows the app store to confirm your age and apply the appropriate requirements to your account.
Depending on your platform and account, you may be able to verify your age using a government-issued ID, credit card, or other methods available in your region.
To resolve the age-related restriction or verification screen in the Ecwid mobile app:
- On the device with the Ecwid app, go to Settings.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Personal Information and choose Age Range for Apps.
- Look for the age-verification prompt and follow the onscreen instructions. You may follow step-by-step instructions from the Apple help center.
- (optional) You may need to update your birthday associated with your Apple Account.
- When prompted to confirm your age, tap Verify.
- Select Use your ID, or any other method if there’s one.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete verification. You may follow step-by-step instructions from the Google help center.
- (optional) You may need to update your birthday associated with your Google account.
If the age verification message appears after confirming age, try to update the Ecwid mobile app. In case the issue persists, contact the Ecwid support team.
