Adding your Ecwid store to Wix site

You can add your Ecwid store to a Wix website in just a few easy steps with the help of the Ecwid app. Just add the app to a Wix site page and then connect your existing Ecwid store or create a new store.

Adding the Ecwid app

1. Log in to your Wix account.
2. Select the site you would like to add a store to and click Edit Site.
3. In the editor, navigate to the site page where you want to add a store.

4. Click Add Apps (in the classic Wix Editor) or App Market (in Wix Studio):

   

5. Type "Ecwid" in the search bar and click on Online Store by Ecwid:

   

6. Click Add to Site → Add.
7. Once you add the app, it will show sample products until you connect to your store. Connect your existing Ecwid store or create a new store to sell your products on your website. See below how.

8. On the same page in your site editor, click the store section → Settings:

   

9. If you do not have an Ecwid store yet, fill in the fields of the registration form, click Create Account and follow the sign up instructions:

   

10. Grant the app permissions by clicking Accept:

    

11. That’s it! Your new store is now connected to your Wix website:

    

12. Save the changes and publish your site.

Connecting your existing store to your Wix site

If you have an Ecwid account already, you can connect it to your Wix site to sell from there.

1. On the same page in your Wix site editor where you added the Ecwid app, click the store section → Settings:

   

2. In the popup, click Connect Account:

   

3. In the pop-up, log in to your Ecwid account. See the detailed instructions in our article about logging in.
4. Grant the app permission to access your store data by clicking Accept.

5. That’s it! Your store is now connected to your Wix website:

   

6. Save the changes and publish your site.

Adding Buy Button on Wix

Apart from creating a page with your Ecwid store on it, you can feature products on other pages of your site. Ecwid has a built-in tool to show individual products on a webpage called Buy Button. For Wix users, using Buy Buttons can be challenging because of the iFrame structure of Wix sites that interferes with button’s work.

Still, you can feature one or more products on a page by adding a button that will be linked to a product page of your Ecwid item.

To create a button with a product page link on Wix:

1. Add your Ecwid store on Wix (with the app).
2. Open a page on your Wix site with the Ecwid store on it and click on the product you want to feature with a buy button.
3. Copy the URL of a product page from the address bar.
4. Open your Wix site editor and go to a page where you want your buy button to appear.
5. Click the + sign on the left-hand side menu and select a button.
6. Double-click on the button to change the text and add the link to your product page.
7. Click Publish.

Done! Now your customers will see a button on your page. When they click on it, they can proceed to the checkout:
