Connecting Ecwid with Lightspeed Retail POS X-Series (ex-Vend)
With Ecwid’s application for the Lightspeed Retail X-Series point-of-sale solution (ex-Vend), you will be able to sell your products via both online and offline channels. If you are an offline business entering into ecommerce, you can easily transfer product data from your Lightspeed Retail POS (X-Series) to your Ecwid online store and sync the data automatically. In case you’re an online business, you can import products from your Ecwid store into your Lightspeed Retail POS (X-Series) and start accepting orders in-person, too.

Connecting Ecwid with Lightspeed Retail (for existing Ecwid merchants)
If you already have an Ecwid store and now want to go offline and start using Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) as your point of sale system, you will need to create a Lightspeed Retail account and authorize Ecwid’s app there. After that, you will be able to select products for upload.
To connect your Ecwid online store with Lightspeed Retail:
- From your Ecwid admin, go to Other Channels → POS (or Other Channels → Lightspeed Retail; in this case, proceed to step 3).
- Click Connect Lightspeed Retail:
If you have other POS solutions enabled in your store, you need to disconnect them before connecting Lightspeed Retail. - Click Go!
- On the opened page, choose Yes, connect my store to Lightspeed Retail if you have already created a new Lightspeed Retail account or No, create a new Lightspeed Retail account:
- If you chose No, create a new Lightspeed Retail account, follow the link to create an account on the Lightspeed Retail registration page, then go back to your Ecwid admin and click Done, connect my store to Lightspeed Retail.
Note that you will need to switch to one of the Lightspeed Retail plans that support ecommerce after your trial period is over to be able to use the integration. Please check Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) Help Center to learn more about the configuration process. - Sign in to your Lightspeed Retail account. You can link only one of your Lightspeed Retail registers to your Ecwid account.
- Click Connect:
Congratulations! Your Ecwid store is now connected with your new Lightspeed Retail account.
You can manage the integration from the Other Channels → Lightspeed Retail page in your store admin.

Start selling online with Ecwid (for existing Lightspeed Retail merchants)
To start selling online with Ecwid, also known as Lightspeed eCom (E-Series), you simply need to authorize the Lightspeed eCom app on Lightspeed Retail. Ecwid pricing and features for Lightspeed Retail integration
The subscription costs and available features depend on what plans you are using both in Lightspeed Retail and in Ecwid. The total price will consist of the cost of your plan in Ecwid plus the cost of your plan in Lightspeed Retail; however, Ecwid may be already included in your Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) price.
There are plan limitations on both sides for the integration to work.

Disconnecting Lightspeed Retail from Ecwid
You can disconnect Lightspeed Retail from Ecwid if you need. For example, you no longer run a brick-and-mortar store, or you decide to change your business field and stop selling online.
The disconnection process consists of two parts: disconnecting Lightspeed Retail from Ecwid and disconnecting Ecwid from Lightspeed Retail.
To disconnect Lightspeed Retail from Ecwid account:
- Log in to your Ecwid admin.
- From your Ecwid admin, go to Other Channels → Lightspeed Retail.
- Click on the arrow next to your store name.
- In the dropdown, choose Disconnect Lightspeed Retail:
Your Ecwid account will be disconnected from Lightspeed Retail. The products that you have previously uploaded from Lightspeed Retail will remain on your Ecwid inventory, but the updates will no longer sync. You can delete these products manually.
To disconnect Ecwid from Lightspeed Retail:
- Log in to your Lightspeed Retail account.
- In the side menu, navigate to Setup → Apps.
- In the My Apps list, find the Ecwid Cart extension and click on the trash bin icon next to it.
- Click Disconnect Ecwid Cart:
Your Lightspeed Retail account will be disconnected from Ecwid. The products that you have previously uploaded from Ecwid will remain on your Lightspeed Retail inventory, but updates will no longer sync. You can delete these products manually.
You can link your Ecwid store with your Lightspeed Retail account again in the future, but you will need to connect and set up the integration again from scratch.
