Ecwid plans and features
Ecwid offers a completely free forever plan with premium plans (Venture, Business, and Unlimited) to fit the needs of any business. The free plan is a great way to test the platform and premium plans will add new features and functionality to your store. You can upgrade any time you like.
This guide will help you decide which plan works best for you.
Billing overview
We offer one free and three paid plans (Venture, Business, and Unlimited) that differ by available features and prices. After you subscribe to a paid plan, the subscription is renewed automatically unless you cancel it.
Depending on your billing country, you are billed in US Dollar, British Pound, Euro, Indian Rupee, Mexican Peso, or Russian Ruble.
Review the prices in your currency on the Billing and plans page in your Ecwid admin or in the Ecwid iOS mobile app.
Ecwid admin subscription
When upgrading from the Ecwid admin, you can pay for your subscription with PayPal or a debit/credit card. You can choose between monthly and annual plans.
Sign up for a free account (no credit card required), upgrade, or change your plan at any time from your Ecwid admin, in My Profile → Billing and Plans.
Mobile in-app subscription
When you upgrade from the Ecwid iOS mobile app, the payment is processed via the App Store and so you pay with your Apple ID payment method.
You can choose between monthly and annual pricing plans.
You can see your current plan, upgrade, or change your plan at any time in the iOS mobile app, in Store → Billing and Plans.
Free plan description
When you sign up with Ecwid, you will automatically begin an account on the Free plan (no credit card required). With the Free plan, you can add up to 5 products to your catalog, set up shipping and payment methods, configure your store design and start selling. The Free plan gives you all the basic tools to get started. You can use the Free plan as long as you wish. It really is free!
The Free plan also allows you to see the Ecwid admin and storefront in action to understand how things work and what paid features your business may need. You can upgrade your Ecwid account to one of our paid plans (Venture, Business, or Unlimited) at any time.

Venture
The Venture plan is great for stores with up to 100 products in their catalog. The Venture plan, and all our higher plans, also allow you to sell digital products: e-books, audio, video master-classes, etc.

The Business plan is for stores with up to 2500 products in their catalog. It contains all the features of the Venture plan plus gives you more tools to showcase your products:

FAQ
Do I need to enter my credit card details to sign up?
No. You can sign up and use Ecwid's Free plan without entering your credit card details. We only ask your credit card details when you subscribe to a premium plan.
Can I change my plan?
Yes, you can upgrade, switch or downgrade your plan at any time.
How can I print my receipt for a paid plan?
Ecwid’s payment processor (Braintree) sends you an email after you’ve been charged. This email contains an attached receipt in PDF format. You can also see your receipts in Ecwid Control Panel → My Profile → Payment History by clicking View Receipt.
Do you charge transaction fees?
Ecwid does not charge any transaction fees. However Lightspeed Payments as well as third-party payment providers supported by Ecwid (like PayPal, Authorize.Net, etc.,) may charge extra fees and/or enforce rules concerning what you can and cannot sell using their service. When you set up an online payment method, we advise checking with the payment provider regarding their rules and fees.
Do you offer discounts for multiple stores?
Not at this time. However, we can help create multiple Ecwid stores. The Ecwid Partner program allows you to create multiple stores and maintain them all from one place. Check out our Partner Program to see more benefits.
Is Ecwid PCI Certified?
Yes. Ecwid is PCI DSS validated. This means all your data and customer information is secure.
Can I use my existing domain name?
Yes. You can use an existing domain name you already own. We also give you a free company.site domain name to get you started.
Can I sell from existing websites?
Yes. We have lots of ways to add e-commerce to your existing website or blog. You can add single product widgets, buy buttons, or embed your entire store.
Can I sell digital products too?
Yes. On all premium plans, you can sell e-books, videos, music, software, and everything else digital.
Do I need an SSL Certificate?
Ecwid’s Instant Site comes with an SSL Certificate. However, you must use your own SSL Certificate if you added Ecwid on any other website.
