Connecting Ecwid with ConvertKit
You can connect your Ecwid store with ConvertKit so that new customers automatically get to your ConvertKit subscribers' list. This way, you can keep all your customers’ contacts in ConvertKit and communicate with them whenever you need.
You can set up ConvertKit with Zapier, a code-free tool to connect apps. With Zapier, you create a "zap" and select a trigger (when something should happen) and an action (what should happen). This way, you connect Ecwid with ConvertKit to perform together.
To connect ConvertKit with your Ecwid store:
- Sign up for an account with Zapier or log in to your existing Zapier account if you already have one.
- In your Zapier account, click Make a zap. In our example, the "zap" action is to create a new subscriber in ConvertKit when a new customer is registered in the Ecwid store.
- At the “When this happens…” step, in the Choose App & Event section, type “Ecwid” in the search field and click on the Ecwid icon to choose it:
- In the Choose Event Trigger section, select New Customer:
- Click Continue.
- At the Choose account step, click Sign in to Ecwid and log into your Ecwid account.
- Click Continue.
- In the Find Data section, check the retrieved data to see if the right store has been connected.
- Click Continue.
- At the Do this step, search for the ConvertKit app and click on it.
- In the Choose Action Event section, select Add Subscriber to Sequence.
- Click Continue and fill in the API Secret from your ConvertKit account.
- Click Continue.
- In the Customize Subscribe To Sequence section, select the sequence where new customers will automatically be imported to.
- Fill out other fields with the customer data that is pulled from your Ecwid store. When you click on a field, you’ll see suggestions of what you can add in the corresponding fields.
- Click Continue.
- At the Send Data step, check what Ecwid store data is sent to your ConvertKit account. You can click Test & Review or Test & Continue.
- Name your zap and click Done Editing.
- Click Turn zap on.
That’s it! Now that the zap is set up and active, new customers that appear in your Ecwid store will be automatically sent to your ConvertKit account.
To edit or disable the zap, go to your Zapier account → Zaps.
