Searching and filtering orders

All orders placed in your online store appear on the Orders page in your Ecwid admin. By default, they are sorted from newest to oldest, so you see the most recent orders first.

To find specific orders based on certain criteria (for example, paid orders ready to be shipped), you can use several preset order filters, apply custom filters, or search your orders by keywords like customer emails. You can also save custom filters to quickly reuse them at any time.

Searching orders with filters and keywords

On the Orders page in your Ecwid admin, you can apply a variety of filters to find specific orders in your store. You can also search orders by keywords such as product name, order number, tax invoice number, SKU, admin notes, customer name, email, address, or comments.

To search orders with filters or keywords:

  1. From your Ecwid admin, go to My Sales → Orders.
  2. To apply filters, click Filter in the upper left corner. On top of the list, you will see a number of preset filters, and you can also click and apply any combinations of custom filters below:

  3. To search orders by keywords, enter a specific parameter in the search bar. In our example, it’s a customer email:

That’s it! You’ll see a list of all the orders in your store that match the search criteria you applied. You can then save this set of criteria as custom preset filters to use again at any moment.

Creating preset custom filters for orders

To speed up your fulfillment process, you can create custom preset filters for frequently recurring orders. For example, bookmark local orders that should be delivered within the next 7 days. When you click a custom preset filter on the Orders page in your Ecwid admin, all the corresponding search criteria are instantly applied to the orders in your store.

To create a custom preset filter for orders:

  1. From your Ecwid admin, go to My Sales → Orders and click Filters.
  2. Apply any custom filters you need and/or enter a keyword in the search bar.
  3. Scroll down and click Save as custom preset filter on the left:

  4. In the Filter name field, enter the name for the filter that will appear in the preset filters. For example, Orders to prepare for the next-day delivery.
  5. Click Save.

That’s it! You’ve created a custom preset filter. It now appears in the list of preset filters you can instantly apply to your orders.
