Upgrading the Free plan to a paid plan

When you create an account in Ecwid, you automatically receive the Free plan. You can upgrade your account or change to another plan at any time from the Billing and Plans page in your Ecwid admin on desktop or mobile.

Ecwid offers four different plan types, a Free (forever) plan, and three paid plans: Venture, Business, and Unlimited. Plans differ by price and available features. See the full list of Ecwid plans and features. Monthly or yearly subscriptions are available. Once your account is upgraded, all further recurring charges are made automatically until you cancel the subscription.

Only the account owner can manage the store subscription — upgrade, downgrade, pause, or cancel the subscription. If you are logged into the store with a staff account, you won’t have access to the billing page.

To upgrade your Free plan to a paid pricing plan:

Log in as the store owner.
From your Ecwid admin, go to My Profile → Billing and Plans, or simply click the green Upgrade button at the top of any admin page.
Click the Upgrade to... button next to the plan you want to subscribe to.
Select a monthly or annual plan.
Click Have a coupon code? to enter the discount code if you have it.
Сlick Enter your VAT ID to waive tax if you are from the EU and have a VAT ID. More about VAT in the EU.
Enter your payment info. You can pay with a credit/debit card or PayPal account.
Click Pay and Upgrade.

Here's how your updrade steps can look on Desktop:

Open your Ecwid mobile app for iOS.
Go to Store → Billing and Plans.
On the top, you will see your current plan. Scroll down to see all the plans and their description.
Click on the subscription you want and choose a monthly, annual, or special 3-month plan that is available only on the Ecwid iOS app. You will see a pop-up from the App Store.
Confirm the payment with your Apple ID account.

Open your Ecwid mobile app for Android.
Go to Store → Billing and Plans.
On the top, you will see your current plan. Scroll down to see all the plans and their description.
Click on the subscription you want and choose a monthly or annual plan.

Purchasing the annual Unlimited plan in the app for Android is unavailable due to Google Billing limitations per one charge. The same applies to the annual Business plan in some countries.
Fill in your payment details and tap on the Subscribe button.

You can pay for your subscription with a credit or debit card (Visa or Mastercard), or using a PayPal account.

After you complete the payment, your Ecwid account will be switched to the new plan immediately.
